Coins for Lent

During Lent, many of us are reminded once again to examine our lifestyles and ask, “What can we do for others?” Lent is a good time to commit to giving money to a project that helps those in need. One way to involve the whole family is to collect coins during the season of Lent, then donate what has been collected after Easter. This Lenten season, HUMC families are collecting coins to raise money to support disaster relief efforts in Turkey and Syria following the worst earthquake this planet has seen since 1939.  More than 1 million people have been left homeless by this tragedy.  Change jars are available in the Narthex to collect a few coins a day to support those in serious need.  Thank you for your support.
