New Year, New Beginning

I hope you discovered a true meaning of Christmas by embracing the gift of Christmas, Jesus, into your hearts and sharing his love with others. And here we are! Happy New Year! We look back the year of 2022, count our blessings, name them one by one, and give thanks to God for another new year.

And as we look forward to the year ahead of us, we reflect on God’s promises of newness and possibilities. I see growth and increase. I see healing and transformation. I am excited even just to think about what God has in store for you and me and for our church.

I believe January is a good month to start thinking about our relationship with God. God called us to be in the covenant people of God. How did you do last year? Did you grow in your relationship with God? Or do you feel like you haven’t been spiritually complacent and stagnant? What things have you allowed to take God’s place in your heart and in your life?

This is the perfect time to assess our relationship with God. We need to reorient and realign ourselves with God by decluttering our soul. Our minds are preoccupied with ten or twenty different things that are going around us. So here is our new worship series for January: Tidying up our soul, schedule, finance, community, and purpose. I pray that you would join us for worship and start the year with God.

Yours in Christ,

Jacob
