Regular Sunday Worship Schedule
8:30 a.m.: A Service of Prayer and Communion. This is an intimate though fairly informal time to be in worship and to center ourselves in the love of God. We begin with a simple song and an opening prayer. We then turn to the scriptures for the day and share in a time of discussion, which is facilitated by the Pastor. When the discussion seems to have reached its conclusion we transition into a time for prayer and thanksgiving, after which all are invited to join in a circle for the receiving of Holy Communion. We end with the Lord’s Prayer and a sharing of God’s peace. This has become a sacred time for a handful of our members. Others are always invited to join us.
10 a.m.: Traditional Worship. This is the primary gathering of our church family. It is a time to reconnect with each other and with God. It is a time to offer our praise, to confess our sins and to be reminded of God’s forgiveness. It is a time to hear the good news and to respond with our prayers, our thanksgiving, and our gifts. Regular components of our worship include an engaging children’s time, a thoughtful sermon, and an inspired choral anthem. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month and we occasionally incorporate our Grace chime bell choir, children’s choir, soloists, and other special offerings.
Coffee Hour: This time for fellowship, coffee, and goodies is not to be missed. It follows immediately the 10 a.m. service.
Summer Sunday Worship Schedule 9:30 Combined Service: During the months of July and August we beat the heat and join together for one worship time. The choir takes a well-deserved break, though we feature special music throughout the summer. We also offer a One-Room Sunday school program for the children. Of course, coffee hour is still on!
